Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before making a booking with The Fancy Treat Co. By confirming your booking, you agree to the following terms.

1. Bookings & Deposits

All bookings are subject to availability and are only confirmed upon receipt of a £150 deposit, payable at the time of booking confirmation. The remaining balance is due in full 14 days before your event. Failure to pay the remaining balance by this date may result in your booking being cancelled.

For bookings made within 14 days of the event date, the full amount is required at the time of booking.

2. Cancellations & Refunds

  • More than 14 days before your event: Your £150 deposit will be refunded in full to your original payment method within 2–5 working days.
  • Within 14 days of your event: The deposit is non-refundable and no refund will be issued.

The Fancy Treat Co. reserves the right to cancel a booking in exceptional circumstances. In such cases, a full refund will be issued.

3. Date Changes

We are happy to transfer your booking to an alternative date, subject to availability. Please contact us as early as possible to request a date change. Requests made within 14 days of your event are at our discretion.

4. Short-Notice Bookings

Short-notice bookings are welcome, subject to availability. Any booking made within 14 days of the event requires the full amount upfront, which is non-refundable.

5. Allergies & Dietary Requirements

It is the sole responsibility of the client to inform The Fancy Treat Co. of any allergies or dietary requirements prior to the event. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. The Fancy Treat Co. accepts no responsibility for any allergic reactions or dietary incidents where we have not been notified in advance. By confirming your booking, you accept this on behalf of yourself and your guests.

6. Power & Venue Requirements

Our Hot Crumble Cart and Mini Pancake Cart require access to a standard UK plug socket. It is the client's responsibility to ensure this is available at the venue. We accept no liability for disruption caused by insufficient power supply.

7. Loading, Unloading & Setup

The client must ensure suitable access is available for loading, unloading, and setting up our equipment. We require a minimum of 30 minutes before your event start time to set up. This time is complimentary and not charged to the client. The Fancy Treat Co. reserves the right to refuse setup if conditions are deemed unsafe or unsuitable.

8. Weather & Outdoor Events

For the safety of our team and the quality of your experience, we are unable to operate in severe weather conditions or without adequate shelter at outdoor events. If your event is outdoors, it is the client's responsibility to ensure appropriate covered shelter is provided for our setup area.

If we are unable to operate due to unsafe weather conditions and no suitable shelter is available, we will endeavour to reschedule your event at no additional cost. If rescheduling is not possible, a partial refund may be offered at our discretion.

9. Guest Behaviour & Safety

The safety of our team and your guests is our priority. We reserve the right to pause or cease the experience if any guest behaves unsafely or causes risk to our team, equipment, or other guests. No refund will be issued in such circumstances.

10. Damage to Equipment

The client is liable for any damage caused to The Fancy Treat Co.'s cart, equipment, or property as a result of misuse or negligence by guests or any third party at the event. The cost of repair or replacement will be sought from the client where applicable.

11. Public Liability Insurance

The Fancy Treat Co. holds public liability insurance, giving you peace of mind that you are working with a professional and responsible business. Details of our insurance can be provided upon request.

12. Travel

We are based in London and cover most of the city and surrounding areas. Any applicable travel costs will be discussed and agreed upon prior to booking confirmation and clearly outlined in your quote.

13. Punctuality

We will always aim to arrive on time. In the unlikely event that we are delayed due to circumstances beyond our control, we will contact you as soon as possible. We are not liable for any loss caused by delays outside of our control, but we will always do our best to minimise disruption.

14. Confidentiality & Privacy

Any personal information shared with us during the booking process will be used solely for the purpose of fulfilling your booking and will never be shared with third parties.

15. Liability

The Fancy Treat Co. takes every reasonable precaution to ensure the safety and enjoyment of your event. However, we accept no liability for any loss, damage, or injury arising from circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to venue conditions, third-party actions, or force majeure events.

16. Photography & Marketing

We may photograph or film our cart setup and the experience at your event for our website and social media. We will never photograph or film guests — including children — without prior consent, and will never post images or footage of individuals without explicit consent. If you'd prefer we don't capture any content at all, simply let us know before the event and we will respect that completely.

17. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from a booking with The Fancy Treat Co. shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

18. Contact
